Reflecting back on my 1st month of Internship

An internship would allow me to take an up-close look into professions and organizations that I had dreamed of. On my initial phase of career development, I joined HERD International as a Research Intern. With the organization’s reputation and tremendous success in both health and social sector throughout the years, I was confident that it would be a significant step forward in my career.

For my internship, I was looking for a suitable organization from where I could learn many aspects that would help me in my self-development. I first came to know of HERD from my sister who used to work here. She had begun her career at HERD and explained to me how she had learnt many things with this organization. She was very insistent that this would be a great learning opportunity for me.  Later my father, who is also a public health worker, said the same and convinced me that HERD was a good organization for young learners like me.

I am very fortunate to have been able to conduct research for my bachelor thesis in Nepal, something which would not have been possible without HERD.
