Mr. Pradip Thakali is a social development professional with more than 15 years of experience in primary health care services which includes health related programmes, community mobilization for creating enabling working environment for friendly health service delivery in integrated approaches. He is experienced in the field of primary health care management and communicable disease programme management of Nepal. He is skilled in programme designing, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Additionally, he has facilitated and organized hundreds of health related trainings/orientation (especially; TB, TBHIV, PAL) to mid-level health workers of government and non-government staffs and to different community people.
He has played a crucial role to implement a research programme “Development of a patient-centred, psychosocial support intervention for MDR-TB care in Nepal” where he coordinated with government and non-government health workers and assessed the MDR patient’s condition (anxiety and depression level) using different tools. Based on the score and need of the patient, conducted Healthy Activity Programme (HAP) to address their anxiety, depression and other disease related issues, burdens and its consequences.
His areas of expertise includes project planning, budgeting, implementation and coordination with various partners. He is also skilled in facilitating training sessions and providing psychological counseling. He has completed Bachelor in Health and Physical Education, TU.
