Introduction to RECOUP Workshops:
A 3-series workshop for enhancing capacity of researchers in Nepal to do qualitative research was built in within the Wellcome Trust grant. The workshops are modeled around the manual developed by the Research Consortium on Educational Outcomes and Poverty (RECOUP). RECOUP is a research partnership of seven institutions in the UK, Africa and South Asia. It has been funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and led by the University of Cambridge.
The first workshop was conducted on December 2012, where the focus was on understanding various aspects of qualitative research and developing a proposal. (detail notes and brief report available- RECOUP I)
The second workshop was conducted on December 2013-January 2014 with major focus on data management and analysis (detail notes and brief report available- RECOUP II).
The third workshop on writing up data was held in spring 2016.
